520 _aThis study aimed to explore the effect of secondary school teachers’ self- efficacy and self-esteem on their job-embeddedness in depth along with taking the participants’ qualitative stance. Therefore, Mixed methods was used for this study. The Explanatory Design: Follow-up Explanation Model (QUAN emphasized) was chosen and used by the researcher for the execution of this study. The first phase of this study has been done with the help of the Survey design whereas the second phase of this study consisted of the qualitative research method. Furthermore, Cluster sampling has been used by the researcher for the selection of the sample. There were 10 districts having the highest literacy rate out of which one district has been selected for this study. There were 18000 SSTs working in the schools of 10 districts out of which 1800 (10%) SSTs have been selected. The sample for the second phase of the study has been selected with the help of Purposive sampling. Four novice and four experienced SSTs have been selected for the qualitative data collection. The SSTs’ efficacy has been measured with the help of the Ohio State Teacher Efficacy Scale (OSTES) developed by (Tschannen-moran & Woolfolk, 2001) and their self-esteem has been measured while using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) developed by (Rosenberg, 2015) whereas their Job-embeddedness has been measured with Job Embeddedness Scale (JES) developed by (Ghaffar & Khan, 2018). The qualitative data has been collected by a semi-structured interview protocol that has been developed by the researcher himself. It comprises 9 items including the opening as well as the closing question. The Descriptive Statistics including Mean, SD, Skewness and Kurtosis have been used for the analyses followed by the Inferential Statistics (Independent Sample t-test, Pearson’s r and Linear regression). The collected qualitative data in tape- VI recorded form have been transcribed by the researcher and the Thematic analysis was done on the data. It is concluded based on the results that a significant moderate effect of Self-Efficacy and Self-Esteem was found on Job-Embeddedness. On the same pattern, the qualitative results also supported the Quantitative results as the majority of the participant shared that they think that there exists a relationship between the thrice of the aforementioned. They added that Self-Efficacy and Self-Esteem have a positive role in one’s Job-Embeddedness. Therefore, Primary Quantitative results have been validated through the secondary qualitative results.
