This study contains synthesis, characterization and bioscreening of pyrazolic aurones. Different chalcones, aurones and pyrazolic aurones were synthesized by using 2 hydroxyacetophenone and various substituted benzaldehydes in presence of NaOH and methanol. Aurones were obtained upon oxidative cyclization of synthesized chalcones in presence of mercuric acetate in pyridine. Synthesis of pyrazolic aurones was achieved by treating aurones with hydrazine hydrate in glacial acetic acid. Structures of the compounds were confirmed by IR and EIMS. All prepared compounds were screened for
antioxidant activity and they showed influential results.
