Ferrites are of great interest due to their technological applications because of
their interesting dielectric and magnetic properties. Among other ferrites such as
e.g., spinel ferrites are widely used because of their high values of electrical
resistivity and low losses which make them ideal for their use at microwave
frequencies. Ferrites have also better chemical stability and mechanical hardness
which make them suitable for biocompatibility as well. Sol-gel method is more
versatile to synthesize the spinel nano ferrites, so it has been used in the present
synthesis process of ferrites. The characterization of nano ferrites has been carried
out using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM),
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Vibrating Sample
Magnetometer (VSM), Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and Thermo
Gravimetric Analysis (TGA). In the biomedical application, the UV-VIS
spectroscopy of uncoated and coated spinel nano ferrites has been done and
checked the absorption of drug in nano particles, after this the cytotoxicity
analysis of human cancer cell lining with drug loaded nano particles will be
carried out in future work.
